Every web designer has slow times now and then, where clients are just not coming in and the emails start to drop each day. I was in this stage about a month ago and in this post I am going to explain how I got out of this funk and finally turned the tide and landed some new clients.

There were a couple of tools I used and below I am going to mention each tool and how I used that tool to land some clients. Ok well here we go…

Hey everyone, I just wanted to make a quick post thanking WebDesignerDepot.com for featuring JakeBoyles.com in there ” 30 Desktop and Office Themed Website Designs” post. This is my second feature in about a month. I was also featured on CssTea.com in there post called “120 Excellent Examples of Css Horizontal Menus“. I just wanted to give a quick shout out to both of these awesome sites, give them both a look they are great for inspiration and really good tips.

Every developer and designer out there has had at least one time where they have wished a slow painful death on Bill Gates for making IE so awful. I know I have, weather its not rendering .png images or breaking every one of my layouts. I am going to go over a few IE 6 bugs and fixes that I have found helpful over the years, and maybe they will help you also.

Every freelance web designer needs someone to consult at certain times, maybe you need help with a certain coding failure or a review on a site. If you think this would benefit you then there is not better web design forum than www.webdesignerforum.co.uk. This site is absolututly AMAZING, everyone on there is kind and they will always help you as best as they can. I can assure you that no one on there will just say “search google”, they will take there time with you and help you work through each and all of your problems. If you are a little worried about the UK side of the site, dont worry about that at all, there are people from all over the world. No where else can you see a topic about rugby and then go to another thread and see them talking about baseball. Overall, WDF is overall best forum out there and if you are looking for a first class experience, check them out!

Hows everyone doing? I just wanted to post a small update, since its been so long. Things have been pretty crazy for me lately, ranging from 3-5 new web site projects and also getting ready for the holidays and such. Anyway I just wanted to let everyone know that I have a few posts coming up soon, a couple more for the iPod and a couple more relating to web design, So stay tuned!
