Google Analytics For iPhone

I love Google Analytics, it is by far my favorite Analytics software. However, the thing I really don’t like about it is that it is hard to get my stats on the go. However, this all changed when I found the fantastic iPhone app called, Analytics. I love this app because it takes Google Analytics and it simplifies it into a great iPhone app. It has all of the features from the computer version and lets you use it on the go. It has different tabs for Today’s Stats, Search Terms, Traffic Sources, Browsers, OS’s, Visitor Loyalty, Exit Pages etc. Here is a list of all the reports it has…

Best Web Design Apps For Mac…

Since I have received my new Macbook I have found some great apps that are wonderful for use with OS X. This list is going to display just a few of my favorite apps for mac.

Coda

This is just a completely AWESOME app, it is fast as can be, simple and lightweight, and extremely easy. When I was on Vista I always used Dremweaver but I have to say this app makes dreamweaver look bad. The first thing I love about this is the built in file viewer. With the built in file viewer if you want to put a link to an image just grab the file in the sidebar and drag it to the code view, and it will automatically add the a href right to that file. Another thing is the lightweightness (word?) of the app, it is extremely light weight and runs as fast and wonderful as you could want. I have been running this app for about 1 week now and it has never crashed or even paused on me. Check it out at http://www.panic.com/coda/.

Photoshop Cs3 For Mac

Now I know Photoshop is not only for mac but this version pretty much is. Compared to the PC version this version is just great. Usually on my vista machine I would have to wait forever for the brush’s to load or for a extension to load and with this I never have to wait it loads automatically. Another thing about this version are the Automator actions that are for CS3. They can greatly increase productivity and add a TON of different actions and extensions. MAMP

MAMP is a great application that lets you easily get a web server running on your local machine. It lets you set up your new WP install or helps you get your e-commerce site up and running. Its very easy to use and is very quick to set up, I highly recommend it! See it at http://www.mamp.info/en/index.html.

Firefox

Firefox needs to be in every web designers arsenal. It has to be the best browser ever. The things that make firefox the best is the plugins that are available for it. The best web design plugin would have to be Firebug, it lets you edit web sites on the go in the browser. See it at http://www.firefox.com.

ColorSchemer

Colorschemer is a great application that helps you to match colors. It is great for anybody from beginners to print professionals. It gives you a dynamic color wheel so that you can pick and choose your colors with absolute procession. See it at http://www.colorschemer.com/

Billings

Billings is a great application that helps you with all of your invoices and billing. It includes 30 templates so that you can customize your invoices to match the quality of your business cards and web site. It costs 40$ but I think it is well worth it. I Have Converted…

I am finally happy to say that, I have converted. I just got my brand new Macbook in the mail yesterday and I have to say I love it! Its amazingly fast, extremely stable and OSX is extremely easy to use! I just started experimenting with Automator and I will be posting some tutorials on how to use it to make you web design life easier in awhile. Would You Like Some Money?

So would you? Well if you do, I have started a referral program, it works like this… If you send me a web design client I will give you 7% of what they pay. So lets say your friend wants a web site done, Ok cool. So you tell them that you know this good web designer that will do there site for a good price and it will be professionally done, and then show them my company site at www.boyleswebdesign.com.

How To Get Web Design Clients During Slow Times…

Every web designer has slow times now and then, where clients are just not coming in and the emails start to drop each day. I was in this stage about a month ago and in this post I am going to explain how I got out of this funk and finally turned the tide and landed some new clients.
